Aligners are excellent at tipping crowns into line, which is what most mild crowding needs. They are less predictable at rotating round teeth, closing large extraction spaces and moving roots.
The other half of the decision is you. Aligners only work while they are in, and twenty-two hours a day is the number the plan is built on. If you know you will not wear them, fixed braces will get you a better result.
