Aligners have taken over a great deal of orthodontics and deserve to have. But there are movements — significant rotations, closing large extraction spaces, moving roots rather than crowns — that a fixed appliance still does more predictably.
Ceramic brackets are tooth-coloured and considerably less visible than metal, at a small cost in strength and a slightly longer treatment time. We will tell you which we would choose for your case and why.
Fixed braces are harder to keep clean than aligners, so hygiene appointments during treatment are part of the plan rather than an extra.
