Root canal treatment has a reputation it has not deserved for about twenty years. With modern anaesthetic the appointment itself feels much like having a filling — it is longer, not worse.
We work under magnification, which is the difference between finding every canal in a tooth and missing one. The canals are cleaned, shaped and sealed, and the tooth is closed.
A back tooth that has had root canal treatment is usually best protected with a crown afterwards, and we will tell you that at the planning stage rather than after the fact.
